Calico Cut Ups Membership Meeting Date: September 25, 2023 President Mary Kalin called the meeting to order at 1pm and welcomed all members and visitors. Show and Tell Program: Linda Crandell “Ice Dying” Vendor: Vintage Heartfelt Quilting Shop Linda Crandell Old Business August 2023 Guild Minutes approved with motion by Cheri Lindner and second by Gail Storm August 2023 Treasurer’s Report filed for audit New Business Membership: Deb West Membership is 139 with 62 present today, 1 new member today, and 4 visitors today Mary Kalin: 1. Discussed multiple articles in the BV Newspaper 2. BV POA Grant was given to the guild in the amount of $915 for the 3rd year 3. Camp Egan Retreat will be March 5-8, 2024, sign up info will be at the October meeting 4. Reminder that Membership renewal begins this month 5. Reminder not to put anything on top of the white storage cabinets due to the fire hazard 6. Requests that, if you are able, please park in the outer parking spaces and leave the handicapped spaces and spaces on the same level for people that might not be able to walk far. Committee Reports Programs- Carmen Tesch; October Program will be Andrew Lee and a QOV presentation Quilt Auction Deb West for Linda Pumphrey; 112 items with breakdown of 30 members donated 1 quilt, 12 members donated 2 each, 8 members donated 3 each. The following members donated a total of 34 of the quilts: Brenda Askland (10), Sue Wagner (14), Amy Rollins (6), & Carmen Tesch (4) Special Projects- Rebecca Logsdon showed samples of the Hospice Quilts. Will start Christmas pillowcases in October for Ronald McDonald House Quilts of Valor- Myrlene Zimmerman showed samples of new QOV blocks and put out at request for longarm owners to help with quilting Library Silent Auction-Allison Totten reported earnings of $33 in September.
