Scholarship Announcement for 2026
The Bella Vista Calico Cut-Ups Quilt Guild Scholarship Committee is delighted to announce that the 2026-2027 Mary V. Pumphrey Memorial Scholarship has been awarded to two deserving applicants.
Melanie Boyd, a senior at Gentry High School will be attending the University of Arkansas in the fall, majoring in Interior Design and Architecture. In recognition of her creativity, dedication, and promise in the field, Melanie has been awarded a $2,000 scholarship, which will be disbursed through the University of Arkansas.
Carri Yount is a Calico Cut Ups Guild Member who is becoming certified through the American Quilters Society (AQS) to become a Certified Quilt Appraiser. We are assisting her with some of the many costs associated with obtaining this certification. Northwest Arkansas needs more Certified Quilt Appraisers, and we are thrilled to be able to help.
